Article about Maximum Seafood from the January 2006 York Region Business Times

Founders Max and Leo D’Elia were exposed to the seafood industry at a young age, when they would often join their father—an Italian immigrant, fishmonger, and entrepreneur—on the Boston run to pickup fresh fish across the eastern seaboard.

Fast-forward to 2001 and the two brothers, along with their brother-in-law Tony D’Angelo, founded their own company: Maximum Seafood. Their goal was to build a company based on the business principles of their father: supreme quality, honesty, and top of the line service.

In 2002, Maximum Seafood constructed a state-of-the-art live fish holding facility to bring a wider variety of better quality live product to the Canadian market.

In 2003, Maximum Seafood founded All the Way Trucking to better server our customers and deliver the widest variety of seafood from around the world, direct to market.

In 2010, we partnered with Premium Brands, which allowed us to expand our business, invest in new ventures and broaden our supply chain through the Premium Brands network.

Today, with over 35 years of experience, Maximum distributes the highest quality seafood across Canada and holds strong business partnerships with some of the most reputable producers in the world.

Since opening our doors, Maximum has gained a loyal following within the local and international seafood community—known for our high quality, sustainability and the largest fresh seafood range in Canada.

Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Maximum is ready to surpass your expectations.
